I'm Gonna Go Talk To Some Food About This

Ate out at the practice Le Cordon Bleu restaurant on Wednesday. (Five courses for $15? Please and thank you!) Who wants to look at pictures of pretty food?

French onion soup--Delicious in spite of the 100-degree weather.

The Technique salad--Sara ordered it, so I had a bite. Very good. I love it when eggs are in the happy medium between hard and soft boiled. I had the spinach salad with beets and pecans. Those are three of my favorite ingredients in the universe, so I was in heaven.

A giant fried ball of mozzarella? Kill me now. The tapenade was delightful. Also Sara's. She was a good sport for letting my photograph her food before she could touch it.

Lobster endive salad--This was my actual appetizer and it was uh-mazing.

Salmon--Sara's entree choice. She didn't share. (Kidding, Sara!)

Filet mignon--The beef was decent (too cooked for my taste), the sauce was out of this world. Fun fact: Before my mission, I didn't like rare to medium-rare meat. Now I wouldn't have it any other way.

Bananas Foster--Ordered by the table of friends next to us, we all enjoyed the show. They let us have a taste of it. The caramelized bananas were divine.
I ordered apple pie for my dessert, but came away disappointed. I should have followed my heart and gone for the crème brûlée.

Food regrets are a real thing. Talk to your kids today. (This PSA has been brought to you from the Society of followyourfoodheart.org. The more you know!)
