This week is awesome because of two things. 1. Battlestar Galactica returns on Friday. 2. It's National Delurking Week.
You know, it's that special time of year where I get to make you feel guilty for not commenting. I think there's even scripture written about it.
"Delurk, oh ye delurkers and lurk no more, lest Ceiling Cat smite you with his curse."
The Book of Blogger: Chapter 4, Verse 26
Seriously, it would mean oh-so-much to me if you'd let me know who you are and how you got here. I believe there are a few basic questions that say everything about a person. (But nothing creepy like "What's your blood type and do you still have both of your kidneys?")
Let's start there, shall we?
1. What's on your perfect burger?
2. Which of the Star Wars movies is your favorite?
3. What's the last book you enjoyed?
4. Chocolate: Dark, milk, or white?
5. What is some of your guilty pleasure music?
Answer however many of those that you feel like and then we can be friends. Yay!
(Bonus friend points if you like dark chocolate and The Empire Strikes Back.)

Well, I'm Anilee, and I *think* I got to your blog through LRRH, but don't hold me to that...
1. Well, firstly, I don't eat beef (or pork or poultry) so it's a Boca burger. Preferably provolone cheese, and then lettuce and tomato. Whole wheat bun. Unless...if I need comfort, just cheese and ketchup.
2. Um...um...um...I um...don't...um...have one?
3. Um...This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen. Reread. Hate Spinnerbait. <3 Dexter.
4. Milk if you're making me eat chocolate.
5. Taylor Swift, I guess.
1. What's on your perfect burger?
My favorite burger has pickles, onion and cheese, with ketchup and ranch
2. Which of the Star Wars movies is your favorite?
Don't hate. I'm not really a fan of the Star Wars movies. At least not the new ones... I'll go with Episode 4
3. What's the last book you enjoyed?
4th of July by James Patterson...I love this series
4. Chocolate: Dark, milk, or white?
The correct answer is DARK. All other answers will result in receiving a big red check mark on on the poster's forehead for living a life of sin.
5. What is some of your guilty pleasure music?
What is guilty pleasure music? Is it music that I don't want to admit I listen to? If it is, then I guess I'll go with stinkin' Daniel Powter and a Shania Twain CD from the 90's. Don't judge.
That scripture is maybe the most hilarious thing I've ever read!
Umm I don't know my blood type and I have a kidney and 3/4s thanks to a surgery when I was little. Creepy, a little, yeah.
1. My perfect burger is plain with only ketchup on it.
2. I have to pick a favourite?? I like all 3 of the old ones (not that new crap)... You have to like A New Hope, because it's the original. The Emperor Strikes Back is always awesome mostly due to the scene where they sleep in the giant animal. And The Return of the Jedi is good mostly because of the Ewoks. I choose all of the original 3 because Harrison Ford is a hottie.
3. I just finished the Twilight series... enough said.
4. Milk chocolate. All the way. Sorry.
5. My guilty pleasure music is the pop-y stuff. I secretly like "Love Bug" by the Jonas Brothers. Sssshhh don't tell anybody!
There. I am officially delurked, even though I'm pretty sure I've commented a few times before.
1. Meat, cheese, and A1.
2. Probably A New Hope. I think the acting was horrid in the technical first three episodes.
3. Chains, by Laurie Halse Anderson. I need to review that one.
4. I prefer milk and white, but if it's very good dark with nothing else in it but chocolate and it's in a very small amount I like it.
5. Love Story, by Taylor Swift. I'm ashamed of liking that song, but I do.
1. the hamburger itself, ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, and TONS of pickles.
2. i have only seen one of them (the first one? his family dies?) and Clone wars. so no favorite for me.
3. i'm currently enjoying Ballet 101. it's great for research and happy reading in my little ballet world.
4. dark is the real way to go.
5. country. like, old school...you know, reba macintire, faith hill, tim mcgraw, george strait....
1. What's on your perfect burger?
Jalapenos, jalapeno cheese, anything spicy.
2. Which of the Star Wars movies is your favorite?
ESB
3. What's the last book you enjoyed?
1960 by David Pietrusza, about election and LBJ, JFK and Nixon.
4. Chocolate: Dark, milk, or white?
milk
5. What is some of your guilty pleasure music?
Hanson, Spice Girls, basically anything from the 90s.
1. It's cliche but I love a boca burger with soy cheese and alfalfa sprouts.
2. I like A New Hope.
3. Hocus Pocus by Kurt Vonnegut.
4. I'm trying to quit.
5. Taylor Swift all the way.
I'm hardly delurking, but I want the world to know that my perfect burger has lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles.
1. Well, meat for starters (beef, none of that veggie/soy crap). Then melted cheese, crunchy lettuce, pickles, sauteed onions, a little bit of mustard and mayo, and a lotta bit of ketchup all on a toasted bun!
2. I would actually have to have seen the Star Wars movies to choose favorite (sorry).
3. Julia & Julia, and Crooked Little Heart
4. MILK.
5. One should never be ashamed of music selections but the ones I would be least likely to share are: Miley Cyrus, Wicked/Hairspray/Twilight/Rent soundtracks, Spice Girls, N'SYNC, BSB, Britney.
1. medium rare, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo and ketchup. Mmmmm
2. i didn't like star wars. Any of them :X
3. the amazing adventures of diet girl - was amazingly hilarious and real.
4. milk chocolate ftw
5. anything country really. fiance hates my country music fling.
1) I made them tonight actually: bacon (or sausage) mixed in the meat, add some over sweet bbq sauce, and panko. Carmalize some onion and layer with bacon and melted cheese.
2) The Empire Strikes Back, is there really another option?
3) Snow Crash is the last one I could not put down even if I wanted to.
4) Not a fan of either really, but milk.
5) Taylor Swift. Yeah, that's right. So what?
Dark chocolate and NSync!
I got here through The Curly Q and your comments on Miss Erin.
1. Uh...I have no idea. I never bother with burgers.
2. Never watched Star Wars. Never want to. ;)
3. I never ever thought this question would take me so long to answer. Uh...um...gosh, my mind is so blank right now (mental note: never post comments when mind is blank)!I think "Twilight," but after a reread I hated it. Does that count?
4. Milk. Totally. All the way.
5. Guilty pleasure music is "Love Story," Taylor Swift. God, everyone's guilty pleasure music seems to be Taylor Swift! That's so weird! But my NON GUILTY pleasure music is ANYTHING -- I swear ANYTHING -- by Carrie Underwood. A ton of people know this about me. I am SO the biggest Carrie Underwood fan on the planet.
I am not a lurker, but I'm commenting anyway, because I can. Hi, Gretchen!
1. My perfect burger is medium well, green peppers, diced tomatoes, feta cheese on a potato roll. Oh man, I wish I was home right now so I could go to Moonlight Diner. mmmm.
2. Empire Strikes Back! (A New Hope is a close second)
3. I read The Ragamuffin Gospel recently, good stuff.
4. Dark, which is why we'll be friends forever.
5. Kelly Clarkson, Dashboard Confessional, Tyler Hilton. (okay, I'm going to throw up now)
1) Awkward question. Grilled onions and a medium grilling. Preferably a toasted bun, and if a place has "special" or "secret" sauce, do that. Cheese for texture. All other cares secondary.
2) Empire Strikes Back. That's not even subjection. It's accepted fact.
3) Ummmm... I read the pilot script to Caprica. Does that count? (P.S. It was awesome and/or kicked my ass)
4) White. Don't know why.
5) I don't do guilty pleasure music, but my guilty pleasure TV would have to be old school Match Game. Gives me the willies just thinking about how much I unjustly love that show.
Perfect burger? Avocado, bacon, cheese :-) DELICIOUS.
Twitter sent me here.
1. I love blue cheese on a burger. But only as a special treat every now and again. And no pickles! (pickles are cucumbers soaked in evil.)
2. Return of the Jedi (apparently all my answer are going to be about cheese.)
3. People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks.
4. Milk
5. Trashy pop music. You know like Britney Spears and Rihanna and sometimes even the PussyCat Dolls (No!).
Hmm, I "found" you on twitter.
1. I've never met the perfect burger, and don't even know what would be/is on it, but I know the six dollar guac burger at Carl's Jr is pretty dang good. Jack in the Box (oh, how I miss thee) has like a super bacon cheese burger that is pretty delish. But really, the best burgers aren't in the fast food joints.
2. Return of the Jedi, any other answer is simply wrong!
3. I guess the last book I finished was Cormac McCarthy's "The Road" which is being made into a movie starring Vigo Mortensen. Hopefully it will be a good one.
4. Milk chocolate, fo sho.
5. I don't really feel guilty about liking music. It helps that I don't really listen to top 40, but there's plenty of music that other might label "guilty pleasure" that I simply call "good pop music". I guess being in radio affords me a different perspective.
So there, no longer a lurker.
Oh, and I'm O+ and still have both my kidneys, thank you.
1. It'd probably be a lamb burger with a touch of mint, rosemary, redcurrant and some lettuce. No tomatoes because they make the bread soggy.
2. I've never seen any of them (and I'm rather proud of that!)
3. The autobiography of Stella Rimington the former director-general of MI:5
4. Chocolate: Cadburys Milk or 85% dark
5. Various 80s goth bands like Bauhaus etc.
I'm not a lurker, but I'm answering these questions because they're fun!
1. Turkey burger with spinach and feta on a sourdough bun. Yum!
2. Confession: I have not seen ANY of the Star Wars movies. Please don't disown me...
3. I'm currently enjoying 'Straight Up and Dirty.' I don't remember what the last one I read was.
4. Dark chocolate: all day, any day.
5. When I'm in a dance-y mood (which doesn't happen often), I love Britney. And I love Kanye, even though he as a person drive me nuts!
Happy delurking week!
HAVE you tried Five Guys Burgers and Fries? Because they are the BEST burgers and fries we've ever tasted {as of yet.} So go there.
Milk Chocolate :) I love your scripture, and I might quote it. I also liked the written version of the kissing story, although hearing out of your mouth was a bit better. Still hilarious nonetheless. I'm glad we are friends, in the literal and blog senses.
loves.
1. Blue cheese and grilled/sauteed onions and mushrooms, on a fairly crispy bun. There is a place in town that has a blue cheese/bacon burger, and what I do is eat the bacon off first, then eat the blue cheese burger, moaning in pleasure.
2. Return of the Jedi. I know it kills my nerd cred to say that the one with the Ewoks is my favorite, but I like that it has resolution. And I like the Jabba's palace scene and Han trying to be all noble instead of a scruffy-looking selfish nerf herder.
3. "Damsel in Distress" by PG Wodehouse was a recent one, if not the very last. I listened to it as an audiobook, if that counts.
4. I usually prefer milk, but if it's very high quality or very small amounts, dark can be very nice.
5. Spice Girls!
Hi! I got here originally through NaBloPoMo random (I think). But I've also seen you blog rolled in several places, which is what made me start reading. Now, for your questions:
1. What's on your perfect burger?
Really fresh lettuce, tomato, melted cheese (any type) and sauteed onions. Yum yum yum.
2. Which of the Star Wars movies is your favorite?
This is a hard one, seeing as I used to sit down and watch Episodes 4-5 in one go. Hmm...if I have to choose, I think I'll go with Return of the Jedi.
3. What's the last book you enjoyed?
Kushiel's Scion.
4. Chocolate: Dark, milk, or white?
Dark - all the way.
5. What is some of your guilty pleasure music?
Backstreet boys!
I'm a day late and a dollar short but I just want to answer #5 cause I have to get it off my chest...
COUNTRY MUSIC!!!
I got here via screwing around with blogspot and clicking on Robin McKinley's name in my profile (as one of my favourite authors) and thus finding your profile. As for why I clicked on your profile... it just looked good? And I like the way you write?
1. My burger has the Works: mayo, bbq sauce, mustard, relish, onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato, hot peppers, fried mushrooms... I think that's all that fits.
2. First Star Wars movie, hands down. I mean first in the publishing order. The original. With the garbage compactor.
3. Last book read and enjoyed was the first in the Sisters Grimm series, The Fairy-Tale Detectives.
4. Dark chocolate.
5. I have a deep-seated love of Shakira, and particularly "Hips Don't Lie."
1. I like a Wendy's single with cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. I'm a simple girl.
2. Probably Return of the Jedi. But I've only seen it once, back around 1999... so who knows?
3. Third Comings by Megan McCafferty
4. Milk.
5. I don't really feel guilty about any of it.
1. Lots and lots of grilled or fried onions. And ketchup. That's it.
2. Not a Star Wars fan. Sorry.
3. The Art of Racing in the Rain. I forget the author, but I'd recommend it -- it's a good read. Sad, though.
4. DARK CHOCOLATE... yummmm.
5. Like Angela, I don't feel guilty about any music that I love!
Ooh, a whole WEEK? I thought it was just a day that I'd missed!
1. Training Table's Bleu Bacon Burger. With a side of those crazy canned mushrooms. Delish.
2. Empire Strikes Back. I do love myself the tauntaun. In fact, I am working on designing a tauntaun sleeping bag so I can snuggle up just like Luke.
3. Born Standing Up: A Comic's Life by Steve Martin. Genius.
4. Milk. But with nuts. Everything better when it's got nuts on it.
5. Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. Except, like others, I am not guilty about my musical choices, so technically I guess it doesn't really count. I guess a real answer would be Creed; it's good but afterwards I have to take a shower.
1. Includes avocado and pepper jack or blue cheese and bacon.
2. Robot Chicken training day on the Death Star
3. Anthem Ayn Rand
4. Dark
5. Michelle Branch & Vanessa Carlton
I found your blog through google when I was looking for an Office recap (which I always watch the night it is on, but I weirdly like to read the recaps). I stayed because I think your blog is entertaining.
1. Nothing? I like a well seasoned burger with a really fresh bun. Maybe, just maybe, a little sweet relish or ketchup, although I would probably like provolone cheese too.
2. I really don't have a favorite, and have only seen them once or twice (thanks hubby).
3. The Latke who Screamed
4. Definitely dark
5. NKOTB
I'm not sure you'll ever read this since I'm ten days late on commenting and I do apologize for not visiting your blog since Dec. 30, but now that I know your parents will continue to update in your absence, I look forward to weekly updates. Congrats again, by the way.
1. Patty medium-rare, marinated in garlic alioli or topped with mayo and mustard, no ketchup, lettuce, tomato, red onion, maybe pickles, depending on the patty situation
2. Return of the Jedi, for being the most colorful. Don't let anyone tell you that the Ewoks were the equivalent of JarJar, because they're wrong.
3. The BOM (ha! I used to set my missionary companions up for that one all the time).
4. White chocolate
5. "Single Ladies" - Beyonce
Just found you via twitter. Not sure how. Tina Fey, maybe?
1. Meat, cheese, lettuce, mayo, mustard, ketchup, and a THICK slice of tomato. Oh, buns too.
2. The Empire Strikes Back. (Only because it's been ages since I've seen one of those movies and I honestly can't remember so I decided to shoot for bonus points.)
3. Don't ask me that question! The answer is yes. But I guess I'll list a few... Scriptures, The Baffled Parent's Guide to Coaching Girls' Lacrosse (ha!), Wuthering Heights, Three Cups of Tea.
4. Dark.
5. ABBA! I'm obsessed. It's ridiculous. But so much fun.
